Most models of Volvo engines of diesel genset, such as 8L, 11L and 13L engines, are equipped with intake preheating device as standard, and cylinder liner water heating device needs to be added in very few areas. For the market environment of Hong Kong machinery, the configuration of intake air preheating device can ensure the smooth start of the engine. In special environments, such as the high altitude area of Qinghai Tibet Plateau, due to the reduction of oxygen content, it is recommended to add fuel heating device for auxiliary start. It is forbidden to use ether injection to assist start-up, which will burst in the air inlet in severe cases.
